“Lucky” Smith in both the boxing ring and his local community, is a force to be reckoned with. Born and raised on the East side of South Los Angeles, Lucky discovered his passion for boxing at a young age, finding solace and discipline within the sport’s rigorous training regimen.

Throughout his illustrious boxing career, “Lucky” has not only claimed numerous titles and accolades (such as being a 3 time Golden Glove Winner) but has also remained deeply committed to giving back to his community. Recognizing the challenges faced by young males in his neighborhood, “Lucky” has made it his mission to be a positive role model and mentor for at-risk youth.

After retiring from professional boxing, “Lucky” founded the “WROO” Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing mentorship and guidance to young men from underserved communities. Through this initiative, “Lucky” utilizes his own experiences and lessons learned in the ring to instill discipline, resilience, and self-confidence in the next generation.

Whether it’s through one-on-one mentoring sessions, group workshops, or motivational speaking engagements, “Lucky” empowers young men to harness their potential, set goals, and strive for excellence both inside and outside the ring. His unwavering dedication to uplifting and supporting male youth has earned him the respect and admiration of his community.

Beyond his work with the “WROO” Foundation, “Lucky” is also actively involved in various community outreach efforts, including organizing fitness clinics, fundraising events, and educational workshops. “Lucky” is certified in Mental Health First Aid, is an Anger Management Workshop Facilitator, a Certified Life Coach, a certified Grief Specialist, and is a Certified Trauma Professional.  Through his tireless advocacy and commitment to service, “Lucky” continues to inspire hope and transform lives, proving that with determination and heart, anything is possible.
